Felt Valentine's Day Garland

After seeing Oopsey Daisy's Felt Heart Garland I knew I had to make one of my own. So I went to Hobby Lobby and got some felt. They were 4 for $1. I ended up buying 6 pieces.
I cut them into squares. I ended up getting 16 squares out of each piece.

Then my grade school heart cutting skills came in handy. I folded each square and cut half a heart.
This was when it got difficult. I tried to string them by hand with yarn but I could not get the yarn to go through the felt. I tried and tried and tried and then gave up. Ha! So I got out the sewing machine and decided to sew them together.
It was so easy once the sewing machine was out. I got so carried away that I made it way too long. So I just cut and draped it on our mantel.
